Pierre Barbaud (October 10, 1911 Saint-Eugène-September 10, 1990 Nice) was an Algerian actor and film score composer.

He is best known for his work in French cinema during the 1950s and 1960s. Barbaud is notable for his contributions to the French New Wave movement, having worked on the scores for several films of that era, including Les Quatre Cents Coups (The 400 Blows) by François Truffaut and Hiroshima mon amour by Alain Resnais. He was also a prolific composer outside of film, having written several operas and ballets, as well as classical works such as piano concertos and symphonies. In addition to his musical pursuits, Barbaud was also an accomplished actor, having appeared in over 60 films during his career. He passed away in 1990 at the age of 78.
