Bill Thompson (July 8, 1913 Terre Haute-July 15, 1971 Culver City) also known as William H. Thompson or William Thompson was an American voice actor and actor.

He is best known for providing the voices for the characters of Droopy, Spike, and Barney Bear in various cartoons produced by MGM from the 1940s through the 1950s. Thompson was also a regular performer on the radio show "The Jack Benny Program," playing the role of a frustrated sound effects man named "Sound Effects Man" or "SFX Man." In addition to his voice work, Thompson appeared in films such as "The Little Mermaid" and "Alice in Wonderland" (both produced by Disney). Thompson passed away in 1971 at the age of 58.
