Onzy Matthews (January 15, 1930 Fort Worth-November 13, 1997 Dallas) also known as Onzy D. Matthews or Onzy Durrett Matthews, Jr. was an American musician, singer, music arranger, composer and actor.

During his career, Matthews wrote and arranged music for a variety of artists, such as Ray Charles, Lou Rawls, and Ike & Tina Turner. He also worked as a session musician and played guitar, bass, and piano on recordings for numerous other musicians. Matthews released a few albums under his own name in the 1960s and 1970s, including the classic jazz album "Sounds for the 60's". In addition to his work in the music industry, Matthews appeared in several films as an actor, including "The Sting" and "Brian's Song".
