She is best known for her role in the horror film "Carnival of Souls" and for being listed in the Guinness World Records as the tallest woman in the world. At the time of her death, she stood at 7 feet 7 inches (2.31 m) tall.
Allen suffered from a very rare condition called gigantism, which caused her to grow at an unusually rapid rate. She was just over 6 feet tall by the age of 10, and had reached a height of 7 feet by the time she was a teenager.
Despite the challenges that came with her height, Allen lived a full and active life. She enjoyed traveling and was a regular participant in the annual Guinness World Records Day celebrations. Roberts began her acting career in silent films, and continued to act in the early sound era. She appeared in over 80 films between 1915 and 1935. Some of her notable film roles include "Babs" in the 1923 film "The Eternal Three", and "Mrs. Weaver" in the 1931 film "Up for Murder". Roberts was known for her versatility as an actress and her ability to play both dramatic and comedic roles. Despite her success in the film industry, Roberts suffered from personal problems and addiction to drugs and alcohol. She passed away at the young age of 35 from complications related to pneumonia.
