Peter Lind Hayes (June 25, 1915 San Francisco-April 21, 1998 Las Vegas) a.k.a. Joseph Conrad Lind, Lind Hayes, Peter Hayes or T/Sgt. Peter Lind Hayes was an American actor, songwriter, entertainer and author. He had two children, Cathy Lind Hayes and Peter Michael Hayes.

His albums include For Every Drop of Rain / If I Had My Life to Live Over.

Peter Lind Hayes began his career as a child performer, working in vaudeville and on the radio. He later moved into television and film, appearing in notable productions such as "The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T" and "I Love Lucy". Hayes was also a prolific songwriter, penning hits such as "Inchworm" and "C'est Si Bon".

Beyond his entertainment career, Hayes was known for his service in World War II, where he served as a radio operator and gunner for the US Army Air Forces. After the war, he continued to perform for troops as part of the USO.

In his later years, Hayes authored a memoir titled "Twenty-Five Minutes from Broadway", chronicling his experiences in show business. He passed away in 1998 at the age of 82.
