Vera Pearce

Vera Pearce (April 5, 1895 Broken Hill-January 21, 1966 London) also known as Annie Vera Pearce was an Australian actor.

She began her acting career on the stage in Australia during the 1910s and later moved to London in the 1920s where she continued to work on stage as well as on radio and in films. Pearce appeared in numerous British films during the 1930s and 1940s including "The Proud Valley" and "The Saint in London". She was also a regular on the BBC radio show "Mrs Dale's Diary". Pearce was known for her versatility as an actor, and her ability to convincingly portray a wide range of characters. She retired from acting in the early 1950s and returned to Australia where she lived the rest of her life.
