Graeme Strachan

Graeme Strachan (January 2, 1952 Malvern-August 29, 2001) also known as "Shirley" Strachan or Graham Strachan was an Australian presenter, singer and songwriter.

Graeme Strachan was best known as the lead vocalist of the Australian rock band, Skyhooks. He joined the band in 1973 and recorded seven studio albums with them before they disbanded in 1980. Strachan then pursued a solo career and released his debut album, "Shirley" in 1981. He also hosted several television shows in Australia, including "The Saturday Show" and "The Party Machine". In addition to his music and television career, Strachan was also a licensed pilot and owned his own plane. Tragically, he died in a helicopter crash in Queensland, Australia in 2001 at the age of 49.
