Alf Brustellin (July 27, 1940 Vienna-November 11, 1981 Munich) was an Austrian film director, screenwriter, cinematographer, actor and film producer.

He died in traffic collision.

Brustellin is best known for directing several successful German films such as "Bockerer" (1981), "Kamikaze '89" (1982) and "Brandstifter" (1979). He attended the Vienna Film Academy before moving to Munich to work in the film industry. Brustellin frequently collaborated with his wife, the German film director and screenwriter, Marianne "Mimi" Thyssen. Together they formed the production company "Thyssen-Brustellin Film" and produced numerous films. Brustellin's work often explored social and political themes and he was considered an important figure in German new wave cinema. Despite his untimely death at the age of 41, Alf Brustellin's contributions to the film industry continue to inspire and influence filmmakers today.
