Bulbul Ahmed

Bulbul Ahmed (September 4, 1940 Dhaka-July 15, 2010 Dhaka) also known as Devdas, Buibul Ahmed or Tabarruk Ahmed was a Bangladeshi actor, film director, film producer and banker. He had three children, Wasif Ahmed Shubho, Tahsin Farzana Tilottoma and Tazrin Farhana Oindrila.

Bulbul Ahmed graduated from Dhaka University with a degree in economics before starting his career in the film industry. He appeared in over 200 films during his career, including popular movies like "Oshikkhito" (1976), "Nayanmoni" (1976), and "Sareng Bou" (1978). In addition to acting, he also directed and produced several films.

Apart from his work in the film industry, Bulbul Ahmed was also a well-known banker. He served as the chairman of the board of directors of Farmers Bank Limited and later became the chairman of its executive committee.

Bulbul Ahmed was honored with several awards during his career, including the National Film Award for Best Actor for his role in "Padma Nadir Majhi" in 1993. He was also given the Ekushey Padak, one of Bangladesh's highest civilian awards, in 2010.

Bulbul Ahmed passed away in Dhaka on July 15, 2010, at the age of 69. He is remembered as one of the most talented and versatile actors in Bangladesh's film industry.
