Anwar Hossain (December 6, 1931 East Bengal-September 13, 2013 Dhaka) was a Bangladeshi actor.

He started his acting career in the 1950s and became one of the leading actors of Pakistani cinema. Anwar Hossain acted in over 500 films in his career, predominantly in Urdu and Bengali language films. He won several awards for his performances, including the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for the film "Shyamol Chhaya" in 2004. Apart from acting, he also worked as a film producer and director. Anwar Hossain was actively involved in the cultural and political movements of Bangladesh and was awarded the Ekushey Padak in 2012 for his contribution to the film industry.
