Arthur Holmes-Gore was a British actor and film director. He had one child, Dorothy Holmes-Gore.

Born on August 18, 1898, in Hornsey, London, Arthur Holmes-Gore started his career in the theater before transitioning to films. He appeared in over 70 films between 1916 and 1936, including notable roles in "I Was a Spy" (1933) and "The Clairvoyant" (1935).

Holmes-Gore also directed several films, including "The Great Gay Road" (1924) and "Rome Express" (1932). He was known for his focus on storytelling and creating narrative-driven films that were popular with audiences.

Aside from his film work, Holmes-Gore was also an accomplished stage actor and appeared in productions of "Hamlet," "Twelfth Night," and "The Importance of Being Earnest."
