Nicolaï Ghiaurov (September 13, 1929 Velingrad-June 2, 2004 Modena) a.k.a. N. Ghiaurov, Nicolai Ghiaurov, Ghiaurov, Nicolaï, Nikolai Gjaurov, Nikolay Gyaurov or Nicolaj Ghiaurov was a Bulgarian singer and actor. He had one child, Elena Ghiaurov.

Ghiaurov was renowned as an opera singer, particularly for his bass voice. He performed at the most prestigious opera houses around the world, including the Metropolitan Opera, La Scala in Milan, and the Royal Opera House in London. Some of his most famous roles included Don Giovanni, Boris Godunov, and Mephistopheles. He was also known for his interpretations of Russian songs and Bulgarian folk music. Ghiaurov received many honors during his career, including being named a People's Artist of the USSR and receiving the Order of Stara Planina, one of Bulgaria's highest honors. In addition to his singing career, he also appeared in films and television shows in Bulgaria and Italy. Ghiaurov passed away in 2004 at the age of 74 in Modena, Italy.
