Iwa Wanja (October 10, 1905 Karnobat-June 26, 1991 Berlin) also known as Iva Wanja or Ivanka Nikolova was a Bulgarian actor and screenwriter.

She began her acting career in theater during the 1920s and went on to star in several Bulgarian films during the 1940s and 1950s. Some of her notable films include "Strah" (Fear), "Zemya" (Land) and "Gradat" (The City).

In addition to her acting, Iwa Wanja was also a talented screenwriter and wrote several plays and screenplays throughout her career. She was also a prominent public figure and was a member of the Bulgarian parliament from 1950 to 1957.

After leaving politics, she moved to East Germany and continued to act in films there. She was awarded the Order of Lenin for her contributions to Bulgarian culture and was also awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit by the East German government.
