Beatty was born in Hamilton, Ontario, but raised in Troon, Scotland. He began his acting career in the 1930s, performing on stage in London's West End before transitioning to film and television in the 1940s. Beatty appeared in over 150 film and television productions throughout his career, including roles in "2001: A Space Odyssey" and "Where Eagles Dare." He was also a distinguished voice actor, narrating various documentaries and providing the voice for numerous characters in animated series such as "Thunderbirds." In addition to his acting work, Beatty was a skilled pilot and served as a flight instructor during World War II. He was awarded the Order of Canada in 1986 for his contributions to the entertainment industry.

Cec Linder (March 10, 1921 Galicia-April 10, 1992 Toronto) also known as Cecil Linder or Linder was a Canadian actor.

He was born in Galicia, which is now part of Ukraine, and immigrated to Canada with his family as a child. Linder is best known for his role as James Bond's CIA counterpart, Felix Leiter, in the 1964 film Goldfinger. He also appeared in numerous other films and television shows throughout his career, including The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother and Woody Allen's Take the Money and Run. Linder was also heavily involved in the Canadian theatre scene, performing in productions at the Stratford Festival and founding the Toronto Free Theatre in the 1960s. He passed away in Toronto in 1992 at the age of 71.

He worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, including John Ford, Vincent Price, and Barbara Stanwyck. In addition to his successful acting career, Ireland also directed several films and even owned a popular restaurant in Santa Barbara.
