Toby Robins (March 13, 1931 Toronto-March 21, 1986 London) was a Canadian journalist and actor.

She died as a result of breast cancer.

Toby Robins is best known for her portrayal of Matron in the British science fiction television series Doctor Who. Prior to her acting career, she worked as a journalist for the Toronto Telegram and later for the Toronto Star. Her early journalistic success led to her being appointed editor of the Canadian Women's Army Corps newsletter while serving in the military in the 1950s. In the 1970s, she transitioned to acting and appeared in several productions on stage and screen. In addition to her role on Doctor Who, she also had recurring roles on the television series The Onedin Line and The Ravelled Thread. Charlotte Hennessey

Charlotte Hennessey (January 1, 1873 Toronto-March 22, 1928 Los Angeles) also known as Charlotte Smith, Elsie Charlotte Printer, Charlotte Smith Pickford or Charlotte Hennessy was a Canadian actor. She had three children, Jack Pickford, Lottie Pickford and Mary Pickford.

She began her acting career on stage in Toronto before moving to New York City in 1896 to pursue a career in vaudeville. Hennessey eventually made her way to Hollywood and appeared in over 50 films during the silent era, often playing small roles or uncredited parts.

Despite her successful acting career, Hennessey's personal life was tumultuous. She had a complicated relationship with her daughter, Mary Pickford, who went on to become one of the biggest stars in Hollywood. Hennessey struggled with alcoholism and died in 1928 as a result of cirrhosis of the liver.

Today, Charlotte Hennessey is remembered as a pioneering actress who paved the way for future generations of women in Hollywood.
