Oktavijan Miletić

Oktavijan Miletić (October 1, 1902 Zagreb-August 17, 1987 Zagreb) was a Croatian film director, cinematographer, screenwriter, actor, filmmaker, radio personality and tv personality.

He began his career in the film industry as a cinematographer in the 1920s. Throughout his career, he directed and acted in numerous films, including some of the most popular Croatian films ever made, such as "H-8," "The Living Corpse," and "The Ninth Circle." Miletić was also one of the founders of the Croatian Cinematheque in Zagreb and was a prominent figure in the Yugoslavian film industry. In addition to his work in film, he was an accomplished radio and TV personality, hosting a popular monthly show about cinema. In recognition of his contributions to Croatian film, he was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Pula Film Festival in 1983. Miletić passed away in 1987 at the age of 84, leaving behind a legacy as one of Croatia's most significant and influential filmmakers.
