In addition to her acting career, Vítová was also a successful singer and performed in numerous stage productions. She was married to the Czech actor and director Jan Werich from 1937 until his death in 1980. Hana Vítová was awarded the title of Meritorious Artist in 1955 and was also awarded the Order of Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk in 1963.
