Lída Baarová

Lída Baarová (September 7, 1914 Prague-October 27, 2000 Salzburg) a.k.a. Lida Baarova, Lidia Baarova, L. Baarova-Babkova, Lyda Baarová, Lida Baarowa or Ludmila Babková was a Czech actor.

Launched to fame in the 1930s for her beauty and acting talent, Baarová starred in many films in Germany and Czechoslovakia. She was also linked romantically to Joseph Goebbels, the infamous Nazi propaganda minister, which caused her career to suffer after the war. Baarová was briefly imprisoned and later exiled from Czechoslovakia due to her relationship with Goebbels. Despite this, she continued to act in European films and eventually settled in Salzburg, Austria. In her later years, she wrote an autobiography called "Lovers I Have Known" which detailed her life and career in entertainment.
