Dana Vávrová (August 9, 1967 Prague-February 5, 2009 Munich) a.k.a. Danuse Vávrová or Dana Vavrova was a Czechoslovakian actor, screenwriter, film director and film producer. She had three children, Theresa Vilsmaier, Josefina Vilsmaier and Janina Vilsmaier.

Dana Vávrová began her career as an actress and quickly gained recognition for her talent, starring in dozens of Czech and German films throughout the 1980s and 1990s. In addition to acting, she also wrote and directed several films, including the 2003 film "Geliebte Diebin". Her work as a filmmaker often explored themes of identity, displacement, and the complex history of Eastern Europe. In addition to her film work, Vávrová was also an accomplished stage actress, performing in productions of classic works by Shakespeare, Chekhov, and Brecht.
