Sanders is best known for his 1986 film "Camping" which became a box office hit in the Netherlands. He went on to direct many other successful films such as "The Johnsons" and "Karakter". Sanders was also highly regarded for his work in television, including directing episodes of the popular Dutch series "Floris" and "Emma".
