Mary Dresselhuys

Mary Dresselhuys (January 22, 1907 Tiel-May 19, 2004 Amsterdam) also known as Mary Johanna Dresselhuys or Marie Johanna Dresselhuijs was a Dutch actor. She had two children, Petra Laseur and Merel Laseur.

Dresselhuys trained at the Toneelschool Amsterdam and started her career in the early 1930s. She became one of the most famous actresses in the Netherlands, known for her work in both theater and film. Dresselhuys won many awards throughout her career, including the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds Prijs in 1977, the Johannes Vermeer Prijs in 1988, and the Albert van Dalsumring in 1997. She continued acting well into her 90s, and was regarded as one of the greatest actresses in Dutch history. Dresselhuys passed away at the age of 97 in Amsterdam.

Guusje Nederhorst

Guusje Nederhorst (February 4, 1969 Amsterdam-January 29, 2004 The Hague) also known as Barbara Augustine Nederhorst, Nederhorst, Guusje, Barbara Augustine "Guusje" Woesthoff-Nederhorst or Guusje Barbara Augustine Nederhorst was a Dutch actor.

She was born in Amsterdam and grew up in Bussum. In the 1990s, she rose to fame and became a household name in the Netherlands through her roles in various Dutch TV series such as "Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden." She was also a singer and released several singles.

In 2001, Nederhorst married Dinand Woesthoff, the lead singer of the Dutch rock band Kane. Together, they had a son named Dean.

Tragically, Nederhorst passed away at the age of 34 due to breast cancer. After her death, Woesthoff established the Guusje Nederhorst Foundation, which supports projects that help children deal with loss and grief.
