Robert Jan Stips (February 4, 1950 The Hague-) also known as Robert-Jan Stips or Stips, Robert Jan is a Dutch songwriter, record producer and musician.

Stips started his career as a member of the Dutch rock band Supersister, which was active from 1968 to 1974. After the band dissolved, Stips continued making music, both as a solo artist and as a member of different groups, such as Sweet d'Buster, Transister, and Golden Earring.

Stips is also known for his collaborations with other artists, such as Herman Brood, Freek de Jonge, and The Nits. He co-wrote the popular song "Saturday Night" for Herman Brood, which became a huge hit in the Netherlands and abroad.
