AlSayed Rady

AlSayed Rady (February 5, 1935 Al Gharbiyah-April 10, 2009 Cairo) otherwise known as Al-Sayed Radi was an Egyptian screenwriter, actor and theatre director.

He graduated from the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts in 1958 and began his career in the theatre as an actor and director. He later moved on to write screenplays for Egyptian cinema, working on over 150 films throughout his career. Some of his most notable works include "The Dictator" and "El Aragoz". He was also known for his acting roles in films such as "The Mummy" and "The Thieves". In addition to his work in the film industry, Rady was also a prominent figure in the Egyptian theatre scene, directing numerous plays throughout his career. He was awarded the Best Screenplay Award at the Cairo International Film Festival in 1989 for his work on the film "Al-Mahfaza Ma'a Al-Khataya". Rady passed away in 2009 at the age of 74 due to complications from heart surgery.
