She was renowned for her outstanding performances in films such as 'Sira' Fi al-Mina' (Trouble in the Port) in 1947, 'Khulood' (Eternity) in 1949 and 'Um Hashem's Lamp' in 1949.

She acted in nearly 60 films during her career and won numerous awards, including the "Best Supporting Actress" award at the Venice Film Festival for her role in the film 'Tharthara Fawq al-Nil' (Adrift on the Nile) in 1970.
