Steve Marriott

Steve Marriott (January 30, 1947 Manor Park, London-April 20, 1991 Essex) otherwise known as Marriott, Steve, Stephen Peter Marriott, Steven Marriott, Stephen Peter "Steve" Marriott, Small Faces, Stephen Marriott, Humble Pie or The Small Faces was an English singer, musician, record producer, singer-songwriter, guitarist and child actor. He had three children, Toby Marriott, Mollie Mae Marriott and Tonya Marriott.

Steve Marriott was best known as the lead singer and guitarist of the Small Faces, a band that formed in 1965 and became one of the most influential groups of the British Invasion. The band had several hit songs in the UK, including "Itchycoo Park" and "Lazy Sunday", and they were instrumental in the Mod subculture of the 1960s.

After the Small Faces disbanded in 1969, Marriott formed the band Humble Pie, which achieved success in the US with their hard rock sound. He also had a successful solo career and worked as a session musician, performing with artists such as Peter Frampton and Eric Clapton.

Marriott struggled with drug addiction for much of his life and died tragically in a house fire in 1991 at the age of 44. He was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Small Faces in 2012.
