Konstantin Konik

Konstantin Konik (December 31, 1873 Tartu-August 3, 1936 Tartu) was an Estonian surgeon and politician.

He attended school in Tartu, Moscow and Berlin before becoming a surgeon. Konik was one of the founding members of the Estonian Social Democratic Workers' Party and served as Estonia's Minister of Social Affairs from 1919 to 1920. He was also a member of the Constituent Assembly of Estonia and the Estonian parliament. Outside of politics, Konik made significant contributions to Estonian medicine, particularly in the fields of urology and gynecology. By the end of his career, he had achieved a professorship at the University of Tartu and become an Honorary Member of the French Association of Urology.
