Fred Thomson

Fred Thomson (February 26, 1890 Pasadena-December 25, 1928 Los Angeles) a.k.a. Frederick Clifton Thomson was an American actor and chaplain. His children are called Frederick Thomson and Richard Thomson.

Thomson was known for his roles in silent films, particularly Westerns, and was considered one of the most popular actors of his time. He began his career in vaudeville before transitioning to film in 1915. His most popular films include "The Silent Lover" (1916) and "The Thundering Herd" (1925).

In addition to his film career, Thomson was also a chaplain in the U.S. Army during World War I, serving in France. He was also an accomplished polo player, pilot, and horse breeder.

Tragically, Thomson died at the young age of 38 from pneumonia, leaving behind his wife, actress Frances Marion, and their two sons.
