In 1908, she made her film debut in the short film "Le miroir magique". She became known for her work in silent films, and throughout her career, she acted in more than one hundred films, in France and America.

Andriot was considered one of the top stars of French cinema during the silent era. She was known for her beauty and captivating performances in films like "The Phantom Carriage" (1921) and "The French Doll" (1923), which were both international successes.

Throughout the 1930s, Andriot continued to act, although her roles were smaller and less frequent. She retired from the film industry in the mid-1930s and moved to Antibes, a town on the French Riviera, where she spent the rest of her life.

During the German occupation of France, she continued to live in Antibes, but she participated in the resistance movement against the Nazi regime.
