Jacques Revaux (July 11, 1940 Azay-sur-Cher-) a.k.a. Revaux, Jacques or Jacques Abel Jules Revaud is a French film score composer.

He is best known for his collaboration with French singer-songwriter, Claude François, and together they produced numerous hit songs including "Comme d'habitude" (which was later adapted into the English version "My Way" famously sung by Frank Sinatra). He has also worked with other renowned musicians such as Michel Sardou, Charles Aznavour, and Johnny Hallyday. In addition to his music career, Revaux has also composed music for various French films and television shows. He was awarded the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Order of Arts and Letters) by the French government in 2007 for his contributions to the arts.

Revaux began his music career in the 1960s as a pianist and composer for French artists such as Sheila and Jacky Moulière. He joined forces with Claude François in the 1970s and together they produced many of the singer's biggest hits. Revaux's style often incorporated elements of pop, rock, and disco.

Aside from his music for Francois, Revaux has also composed scores for several popular French films, including "La Gifle" (The Slap), "Un Elephant ca trompe enormement" (An Elephant Can Be Extremely Deceptive), and "Nous irons tous au paradis" (We Will All Go to Paradise). He began his acting career at a young age, making his film debut at the age of 10 in the 1950 film "La Marie du port." However, he is perhaps best known for his role as Michel Dolle in the 1957 film "Les Quatre Cents Coups" (The 400 Blows), directed by François Truffaut. He went on to appear in several other films throughout the 1950s and 1960s, including "La Famille Fenouillard" (1960) and "Le signe du lion" (1959).

Poujouly also had a successful career as a voice actor, providing the French dubbing for several foreign films, including "The Ten Commandments" (1956) and "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" (1956).

Tragically, Poujouly's life was cut short when he died from lung cancer at the age of 60 in 2000. However, his legacy as a talented actor, both on screen and in the dubbing studio, lives on.

In addition to his acting career, Georges Poujouly was also a writer. He wrote several novels and short stories, including "Orages" (Storms) which was published in 1978. Poujouly was a member of the French Resistance during World War II, and he remained politically active throughout his life. In addition to his work in French cinema, he also appeared in several international productions, including the Italian film "Accattone" (1961) and the British-Australian film "Robbery Under Arms" (1957). Poujouly's performance in "Les Quatre Cents Coups" remains one of the most iconic roles in French cinema history and earned him critical acclaim at the Cannes Film Festival.

Beyond his artistic pursuits, Poujouly was known for his political activism and support for progressive causes. He was a vocal advocate for workers' rights, social justice, and nuclear disarmament. Poujouly was also a committed environmentalist and worked to promote sustainable agriculture and renewable energy.
