Lane McCray

Lane McCray (April 13, 1962 Anchorage-) a.k.a. Donald Lane McCray Jr. is a German singer.

Lane McCray was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. He is best known as a member of the popular German eurodance group La Bouche, which he co-founded with producer Frank Farian in 1994. The group became famous for hits such as "Be My Lover" and "Sweet Dreams."

Before joining La Bouche, McCray had a successful career as a model and actor, appearing in various commercials and TV shows. He also pursued a solo music career, releasing several singles and an album in the 1990s.

After the death of La Bouche's lead singer Melanie Thornton in a plane crash in 2001, McCray briefly continued to perform under the group's name with a new female vocalist. However, he later left the music industry to focus on his family and other business ventures.

In recent years, McCray has made a few appearances on reality TV shows, including "The Perfect Celebrity" and "I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!" in Germany.

He was best known as the founding member and bassist of the alternative rock band Soul Asylum. Mueller formed the band with Dave Pirner in 1981 and played on all of their studio albums until his death in 2005. Mueller also contributed to other musical projects and played with acts such as Golden Smog and the Flops. Despite battling throat cancer, Mueller continued to tour with Soul Asylum until just a few months before his passing. He was widely admired for his distinctive, melodic bass lines and is regarded as one of the greatest bassists in alternative rock history.
