Alexis Minotis (August 8, 1898 Kissamos-November 11, 1990 Athens) also known as Alex Minotis, Alexis Minotakis or Lexis Minotis was a Greek actor and film director.

He was born in the town of Kissamos, Crete, and studied law in Athens before turning to a career in acting. Minotis was known for his expressive and dynamic performances on stage and screen, and was considered one of the finest actors of his generation in Greece. He acted in numerous plays and films over the course of his career, and also directed several films, including the 1955 drama "The Barefoot Battalion". In addition to his work in acting and film, Minotis was also a respected art collector and patron, and played an important role in promoting modern Greek art both in Greece and abroad. He was honored with numerous awards and distinctions during his lifetime, including the prestigious Order of the Phoenix from the Greek government.
