Irene quickly established herself as a popular leading lady in Greek theater and cinema, starring in over 60 films throughout her career. Her most famous roles include "The Foster Brother", "Lovesick", and "The Widow from Chicago". Irene was widely respected and admired for her dedication to her craft and her humanitarian work. She was also a founding member of the Greek Actors' Union, which was established in 1940. Irene Koumarianou passed away in Athens in 2013 at the age of 98, but she remains an icon in the Greek entertainment industry to this day.
