Raymond Wu

Raymond Wu (May 15, 1936-October 3, 2006 Pok Fu Lam) was a Hongkongese politician and physician.

Wu earned his medical degree from the University of Hong Kong in 1962 and went on to practice medicine for several years before embarking on his political career. He was a member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong from 1988 to 1997 and served as the Chairman of the Hong Kong Medical Association from 1985 to 1987. Wu was known for being a vocal advocate for democracy in Hong Kong and was active in the pro-democracy movement during the 1980s and 1990s. He also served as the founding chairman of the Hong Kong Democratic Party from 1994 to 1995. In addition to his political and medical work, Wu was also an accomplished musician and played several instruments. He passed away in 2006 at the age of 70.
