Ladislaus Vajda

Ladislaus Vajda (August 19, 1877 Eger-March 10, 1933 Berlin) a.k.a. László Vajda, Vajda László or Vajda was a Hungarian screenwriter, theatre director, actor, journalist and set designer. He had one child, Ladislao Vajda.

Ladislaus Vajda was considered as one of the pioneers of Hungarian silent cinema. He began his career in journalism before venturing into the film industry. In 1911, he established his own film company which produced several successful films. He then became a prolific screenwriter and wrote several successful films, some of which are now considered classic Hungarian films. Vajda also directed a few films, including the highly acclaimed "A Rózsa éneke" (The Song of the Rose).

In addition to his film work, Vajda was also a respected theatre director and set designer. He worked in various theatres in Hungary and Germany, including the prestigious Berlin State Opera. He was associated with the Hungarian avant-garde movement and was part of the influential group of artists known as the MA group.

Vajda's son, Ladislao Vajda, also became a renowned filmmaker, working mainly in Spain. Together, they collaborated on several films, including the critically acclaimed "Marcelino pan y vino" (Miracle of Marcelino).

Gusztáv Pártos

He began his acting career in 1917 and quickly became a prominent figure in Hungarian theater and film. Pártos acted in over 60 films during his career, with notable roles in movies such as "A Tanítónő" (The Schoolmistress) and "Két félidő a pokolban" (Two Halves in Hell). Pártos was also a gifted theatre actor and worked at the Hungarian National Theatre in Budapest for many years. Additionally, he was a founding member of the National Theatre Company. Pártos is remembered as one of Hungary's finest actors and is credited with bringing a level of depth and nuance to his performances.
