C. R. Simha (June 16, 1942 Channapatna-February 28, 2014 Bangalore) a.k.a. Channapatna Ramaswami Simha, Channapatna Ramaswamy Simha or C.R. Simha was an Indian writer, actor, film director and playwright.

He was known for his work in the Kannada film industry and was a prominent figure in the parallel cinema movement of the 1970s. Simha started his career as a journalist and worked for various newspapers before venturing into film making. He made his directorial debut with the film "Hamsageethe" in 1975 which won him critical acclaim and several awards. Simha was also one of the founding members of the Kannada theatre group, Ninasam, and directed many plays for the group. Apart from filmmaking, he was also an accomplished writer and wrote various books and plays. His contributions to Kannada literature and cinema have earned him a special place in the hearts of Kannadigas.
