Rosihan Anwar

Rosihan Anwar (May 10, 1922 Solok Regency-April 14, 2011 Jakarta) was an Indonesian writer, journalist, editor, actor and author.

He was known for his work as the co-founder of Indonesia's largest news magazine, Tempo. Anwar began his journalism career as a reporter for the newspaper Pedoman in the 1940s. He later joined the state news agency Antara and worked as a foreign correspondent in China and Japan. In the 1970s, Anwar co-founded Tempo magazine with Goenawan Mohammad and later served as its chief editor. In addition to his journalistic work, Anwar was also a prolific author and actor, appearing in several Indonesian films. He was a champion of press freedom in Indonesia and was a recipient of the Ramon Magsaysay Award for Journalism, Literature, and Creative Communication Arts in 1995. Anwar passed away in 2011 at the age of 88.

Adjie Massaid

Adjie Massaid (August 7, 1967 Jakarta-February 5, 2011 Jakarta) was an Indonesian actor and politician. He had three children, Zahwa Rezi Massaid, Aaliyah Massaid and Keanu Jabaar Massaid.

Adjie Massaid began his acting career in the 1980s and appeared in various films and soap operas throughout his career. Some of his notable films include "Nama Gue...Misteri" and "Mengejar Matahari". He also won the Indonesian Film Festival award for Best Supporting Actor in the film "Daun di Atas Bantal" (1998).

Aside from his acting career, Massaid was also involved in politics. He was elected as a member of the Jakarta City Council in 2009 representing the Indonesian Democratic Party-Struggle (PDI-P).

Tragically, Massaid passed away in 2011 at the age of 43 due to a heart attack. His death was mourned by fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry and politics.
