Hossein Panahi was a notable figure in the Iranian cultural scene, known for his contributions to both theater and film. He graduated from the faculty of dramatic arts at Tehran University in 1980, after which he began performing in theater productions. Panahi starred in several popular Iranian films, including "The Runner" and "The Fish Fall in Love", both of which were featured in international film festivals.
