Lillian Lux (June 20, 1918 Brooklyn-June 11, 2005 New York City) also known as Lillian Sylvia Lukashefsky was an Israeli singer, author, songwriter and actor. She had two children, Mike Burstyn and Susan Burstein-Roth.
Lillian Lux began her career as a child star in Yiddish theater. She later became a popular performer in Israel, where she moved at age 19. She was known for her powerful voice and her ability to sing in multiple languages, including Yiddish, Hebrew, English, and French. In addition to her music career, Lux also wrote several books about her experiences in the entertainment industry. She acted in a few films, including the 1985 movie "Joshua Then and Now," which starred James Woods and Alan Arkin. Despite her success, Lux was known for staying out of the spotlight and leading a relatively private life. She passed away in 2005 at the age of 86.
