Heavy D began his music career as the lead vocalist of the hip-hop group Heavy D & the Boyz, which achieved great success in the late 1980s and early 1990s with hits like "Now That We Found Love" and "Somebody for Me". He also released several successful solo albums, including "Waterbed Hev" and "Nuttin' but Love".
