Yukiko Okada (August 22, 1967 Ichinomiya-April 8, 1986 Yotsuya, Tokyo) also known as Okada Yukiko, Okada, Yukiko, 岡田 有希子, おかだ ゆきこ, 佐藤 佳代, さとう かよ, Kayo Satō, Satō Kayo, ユッコ or Yukko was a Japanese singer, model, record producer, songwriter, actor, spokesperson and singer-songwriter.

Yukiko Okada was born on August 22, 1967 in Ichinomiya, Aichi prefecture, Japan. She began her career as a model and later made her debut as a singer with her first single, "Koi wa Jikuu o Koete," in 1983. Her career took off quickly, and she released several hit songs throughout the 1980s.

Aside from her successful career in music, Okada also appeared in various TV dramas and films. She was cast opposite renowned actors such as Ken Takakura and Bunta Sugawara. In 1985, she was awarded Best Newcomer at the 28th Japan Record Awards.

Sadly, Yukiko Okada's life was cut short at the age of 18 in 1986 when she fell from the balcony of her 7th floor apartment in Yotsuya, Tokyo. Her death was ruled a suicide, and it shocked the Japanese entertainment industry and her many fans across the country.
