Margarita Särkkä (September 28, 1892-October 26, 1973) also known as Margariitta Beljavsky or Margarita Eleonora Beljavsky was a Lithuanian screenwriter and actor.

She was born as Margarita Eleonora Beljavsky in Kaunas, Lithuania in 1892. She began her career in the entertainment industry as a stage actor in Russia, performing in both drama and comedy productions. In the 1920s, she moved to Berlin, Germany, where she began writing screenplays for films.

In the early 1930s, as the political climate in Germany became increasingly hostile towards Jews and other minority groups, Margarita and her husband fled to France. There, she continued to write screenplays and also worked as an actor, appearing in several French films.

During World War II, Margarita and her husband were forced to flee again, this time to the United States. In Hollywood, she continued to work as a screenwriter and also acted in several films. She is best known for her work as a writer on the film "The Jolson Story," which received an Academy Award nomination for Best Screenplay in 1947.

Margarita Särkkä died in Santa Monica, California in 1973 at the age of 81. She is remembered for her contributions to both the French and Hollywood film industries, as well as her bravery in fleeing Nazi persecution multiple times.
