Mohamed Majd

Mohamed Majd (November 25, 2014 Morocco-January 25, 2013 Casablanca) also known as Mohamed El Majd or Mohammed Majd was a Moroccan actor.

He was born on November 25, 1941, in Tafraout, Morocco. Majd began his career in the 1960s and became one of Morocco's most renowned actors, appearing in numerous films, television series, and plays. His notable performances include his roles in "Ali Zaoua" (2000), "The Yacoubian Building" (2006), and "Aida" (2018).

Majd was also recognized internationally for his work, receiving the Best Actor Award at the Cairo International Film Festival in 1981 for his performance in "Al-Motamarridun." He was also awarded the Golden Tanit for Best Actor at the Carthage Film Festival in 2010 for his role in "La Mosquée."

Aside from his acting career, Majd was also an activist and advocate for social justice causes in Morocco. He was a member of the Union of Moroccan Artists and a founding member of the National Federation of the Moroccan Theater.

Majd passed away on January 25, 2013, in Casablanca at the age of 71. His legacy as an actor and social activist continues to inspire and influence Moroccan artists and activists today.
