Einar Tveito

Einar Tveito (April 14, 1890 Lærdal-January 1, 1958) was a Norwegian actor.

He began his acting career with a touring theater company in Norway in the early 1910s, before eventually joining the National Theatre in Oslo in 1916. Tveito became known for his versatile acting skills, and was noted for his performances in both comedic and serious roles on stage and in films. Some of his notable movie credits include "Tante Pose" (1940), "De vergeløse" (1949), and "Gategutter" (1949). In addition to his work in the performing arts, Tveito was also a writer, and authored a number of plays that were performed in theaters across Norway.

He was a member and one of the founders of the Norwegian Actors' Equity Association, which was established in 1919. Tveito was also a lecturer at the Norwegian Theatre Academy in Oslo, where he taught stagecraft and acting. He was awarded the King's Medal of Merit for his contributions to Norwegian culture in 1954.
