Erna Schøyen

Erna Schøyen (March 1, 1887 Kabelvåg-December 21, 1968 Oslo) also known as Erna Kamille Berg was a Norwegian actor. She had one child, Vivi Schøyen.

Erna Schøyen began her acting career in 1914, and worked in many theatres throughout Norway. She also appeared in more than 40 films. Schøyen was recognized as one of the great leading ladies of the Norwegian stage and performed many classic roles. Her most famous performance was as the title character in Ibsen's "Hedda Gabler" in 1929. Schøyen was awarded the King's Medal of Merit in gold in 1952 for her contributions to Norwegian theatre. She continued acting until her death in 1968.

In addition to her work on stage and in film, Erna Schøyen was also a well-known voice actress. She provided the voice for the Norwegian version of Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 1938, as well as other animated films such as Bambi and Cinderella. Schøyen was also a prominent member of the Norwegian Actors' Equity Association and served as its president for several years. Outside of her acting career, Schøyen was known for her love of travel and adventure, and she often explored remote parts of the world.
