Nirala

Nirala (November 27, 2014 Moradabad-December 9, 1990 Karachi) also known as Syed Muzaffar Husain Zaidi or مظفر was a Pakistani actor and comedian.

Nirala started his career as a stage actor in Azamgarh and later moved to Bombay (now Mumbai), India to pursue his career in the film industry. He made his debut in the film "Ankh Ki Sharm" in 1932 and went on to star in over a hundred films. Some of his notable works include "Holi" (1940), "Paisa" (1940), and "Champa" (1945).

Nirala was known for his comic timing and his ability to make the audience laugh. He was one of the pioneers of the comic genre in Indian cinema. He was also a gifted musician and composed music for several films.

After the partition of India in 1947, Nirala migrated to Pakistan and continued his career in the film industry there. He worked in several Pakistani films including "Dulla Bhatti" (1956) and "Hum Ek Hain" (1960).

Nirala received numerous awards for his contribution to the film industry including the President's Pride of Performance Award in 1980. He passed away on December 9, 1990 in Karachi, Pakistan.
