Nazia Hassan

Nazia Hassan (April 3, 1965 Karachi-August 13, 2000 London) also known as Hassan, Nazia was a Pakistani singer, lawyer and politician. She had one child, Arez Baig.

Her most well known albums: Camera Camera, Best of Nazia Hassan, Star/Boom Boom, Hotline and Disco Deewane. Genres: Pop music.

Nazia Hassan was born in Karachi, Pakistan and started her music career at the age of 10 as a child artist. She shot to fame with her debut song "Aap Jaisa Koi" in the Bollywood movie Qurbani (1980). She went on to become one of the most popular singers of South Asia in the 1980s, known for her powerful voice and youthful charm.

Apart from her successful music career, Nazia Hassan also studied law at the University of London and worked as a lawyer for a short while. She was also an active member of the Pakistan Movement for Justice party and ran for a provincial assembly seat in the 1997 elections.

Nazia Hassan sadly passed away at the young age of 35 due to lung cancer in London, UK. She remains a beloved icon and role model for generations of South Asian women, both for her talent and for her strength and courage in pursuing her dreams.
