Sergei Bodrov, Jr.

Sergei Bodrov, Jr. (December 27, 1971 Moscow-September 20, 2002 Mount Kazbek) also known as Sergey Bodrov, Sergueï Bodrov Jr, Sergey Sergeevich Bodrov or Sergei Sergeyevich Bodrov was a Russian actor, screenwriter and film director. His children are Olga Bodrova and Aleksandr Bodrov.

Bodrov began his acting career in the 1990s and starred in several successful Russian films such as "Brother" and "Prisoner of the Mountains". He also worked as a screenwriter and director, often collaborating with his father, Sergei Bodrov Sr., who was also a well-known filmmaker. In 2002, Bodrov Jr. tragically lost his life at the age of 30 while shooting a film on Mount Kazbek in Georgia. His death, along with several members of the film crew, was caused by an avalanche. Despite his short career, Bodrov Jr. was considered one of the most talented and promising actors and filmmakers in Russian cinema.
