Čkalja appeared in more than 100 films, including "The Marathon Family," "The Written Off Return," and "Who's Singin' Over There?" He was also a prolific theater actor, and performed in numerous plays throughout his career. Čkalja was known for his comedic timing and physical comedy, as well as his distinctive voice and facial expressions. He was a beloved figure in Yugoslavia, and remains a beloved figure in Serbia today.
