Glyn Jones (April 27, 1931 Durban-April 2, 2014 Vamos) was a South African screenwriter, actor and film director.

As a young man, Glyn Jones moved to England to attend university, earning a degree in English from the University of Cambridge. After graduation, he worked as a teacher for several years before eventually transitioning into a career in film and television. Jones wrote for a number of popular British television shows, including "The Avengers" and "The Saint," before moving on to film directing in the 1970s. Some of his notable films include "The Medusa Touch" and "Venom." In addition to his work in film and television, Jones was also an accomplished stage actor, having performed on the West End in London and on Broadway in New York City.
