Max Maxudian

Max Maxudian (June 12, 1881 Smyrna-July 20, 1976 Boulogne-Billancourt) also known as Max Algop Maxudian, Maxoudian or Maxudian was a Turkish actor and writer.

Maxudian was born into an Armenian family in Smyrna (now known as Izmir) in the Ottoman Empire. He began his acting career in Turkey and later moved to France where he worked in French cinema, appearing in over 40 films. Maxudian is best known for his role in Marcel Carné's classic film, "Les Enfants du Paradis" (Children of Paradise) released in 1945. Maxudian was also a prolific writer, publishing books on philosophy and sociology. He won several awards for his work, and his book, "La révolution à l'époque du capitalisme" (Revolution in the Age of Capitalism) was highly acclaimed. Max Maxudian passed away in Boulogne-Billancourt, France, at the age of 95.
